This role is open to candidates within a commutable distance of our Meridian, ID, corporate headquarter. This role is exempt salary and pays $75,000 to $90,000 annually, dependent on experience. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

The Corporate Sales Trainer/Coach supports the continuous learning process through the facilitation of training and evaluation of new and existing competency-based sales programs, growth initiatives, and performance improvement interventions to ensure employees are trained and developed to meet the operational and strategic needs of the organization. Employing full hands-on sales training techniques, the Corporate Sales Trainer is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's sales employees. This role will also participate in the design and implementation of effective sales training methods to educate, enhance, and promote high performance of sales team individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate instructor-led trainings and workshops, serving as the primary or backup facilitator for various curricula (e.g., new hire sales training, ongoing sales training, on-the-job training, etc ), as well as support targeted special assignments for specific audiences (e.g., new product or system training)
  • Conduct all facilitator prep work, including the timely distribution of materials; communicate with learners to ensure they know dates, times, locations, and pre-work expectations; arrange the room; and prep any documentation and handouts
  • Schedule course events (i.e., provide input into monthly training calendar, reserve training room(s), setup online sessions, build in LMS, write communication(s) to learners
  • Remain current on relevant policies & procedures, and other internal documentation in the Learning Center and Learning Management System (this includes attending key meetings and periodically checking in with stakeholders across the company)
  • Recognize common problem topics or activities within the curricula and coordinate with the Learning & Development team to develop a recommended strategy for improving curricula design, materials, and/or facilitation strategies
  • Enthusiastically collaborate and brainstorm with fellow L&D team members to increase team knowledge of training products and tools, as well as to grow peer relationships and effectively work together as a whole
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or internal team members to design, develop, and implement creative learning solutions that ensure mastery of learning objectives and learner retention
  • Attend workshops and webinars on various components of design, development, instruction, and facilitation

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven training experience: Sales and/or Financial Industry experience is highly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate and engage with all levels of the organization and external vendors
  • Basic project management and time management skills; comfortable multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in managing stakeholder expectations, including key senior business leaders
  • Ability to engage and collaborate across organizations including customer service, sales, marketing, data analytics, and product management
  • Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to improvise and pivot direction in the classroom when necessary
  • Familiar with the various components of Instructional Design, the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluation) and eLearning software (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Camtasia, etc.), and the evaluation process (Kirkpatrick method or such)
  • Knowledge of virtual training tools such as Zoom and Google Meet and familiarity with features used to engage learners
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Google G-Suite
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or priorities at once
  • Highly effective coaching and development skills; highly skilled in persuasive communication
  • Passion and commitment for adult learning best practices and techniques
  • Knowledgeable in key sales techniques and training
  • Experience creating and achieving KPIs within a sales environment
  • Ability to measure and analyze the training effectiveness, evaluate training results data, and provide evidence of the ROI of the sales training program
  • Experience in a sales and call center environment; experience as a sales representative or sales trainer preferred
  • Experience with a CRM preferred, but not required
  • Experience within the financial services industry a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training, Education, Business, Finance, Communications, Instructional Design, English, or related field or equivalent work experience
